Membership is open to all
Whether you want to become a member of Orinda Community Church or just learn about how our congregation, the New Members Class / Inquirer's Gathering class is for you. What does Orinda Community Church believe in? What’s the United Church of Christ? Do I need to be a member to take communion, sing in the choir, or have my child baptized?
We will provide the answers to these and other questions in our New Members Class / Inquirer's Gathering. We welcome you to come learn who we are and what we’re about. Typically, the class is offered in the fall, winter and spring. Check the calendar, or call the church office, for upcoming dates.

How O.C.C. Works
Orinda Community Church is run by a Church Council and various Ministry Teams made up of members of the church. More information is on the Meeting Notes, Documents, Forms, Governance page.
All funding comes from member donations and facility rental fees.
Members are solely responsible for searching for and calling its ministerial staff.
Leadership at the Orinda Community Church is shared by elected lay leaders, and the pastoral staff. The Rev. Elizabeth Robinson is our Minister. The music program is run by David Milnes, renowned conductor and Professor of Music at UC Berkeley.
The church is self-governing, led by an elected Church Council, with major decisions decided in all-member votes.
